A flattie designed over 40 years ago by one of the west’s leading boat designers, Ted Geary, it is a one design class that is very popular in the far west with over 1200 registered boats.

It is a centerboard sloop with an ingenious, removable, inboard rudder that is unusual in centerboard boats.

It has two sails – the mainsail and the jib. The International Geary Fleet is well organized and Geary skippers have many opportunities to compete in races all through¬out the year.
